Hey Guys,
I have so much to say and only an hour to do it so I will probs cut some corners. (btw wednesday is my P Day)

Fist thing first, Lima is so nice, it is like always humid and cerca 60 degrees. I am still trying to adjust because they keep us so busy. It already fels like I´ve been here a month at least. Dallin H Oaks came to give a talk at our MTC and I got to shake his hand which was so cool he talked about helping people to come onto Christ. It feels like I am being pounded with spanish every day, so much that it rings bettween my ears! I made some latino Friends so I get to practice my spanish with them. One is from Buenos Aires, and is name is Elder Spaunis. My district is so awesome. They are mostly from Utah, which our group flying out from Atlanta (28 or so missionarys) has dubbed "the factory" but there is one from Texas, and one from Sourthern California. My companion is Elder Bird, a bible genius from the factory. he is going to lima sur. his is short and very type A, but I get along with him just fine.  I went to the temple this morning which was so cool. I already have an investigator which I got on day 3 (un secreto: its my teacher) and we had to stumble throuhg a lesson in spanish on day 3 Owch! every day, I wake up at 630, and am ready for breakfast by 715 including shower, personal prayers, district prayers and all the morning stuff like brushing teeth. after breakfast we either have class, companion study personal study or a little bit of everything. then we eat lunch which is the biggest meal of the day (we get 45 minutes instead of 30) after lunch we get 50 minutes of physical activity which usually means soccer, or this mission game called ponyball which is ultimate frizbee with a volleyball on a soccer field. then after its more study study study or classes until dinner. and after dinner its more study and classes until bed time, with more prayers and teeth brushing. yesterday i went to interpol to go get my visa, and there were so many venesuelans and one from spain and one couple from china.

Mom, thank you for giving me these updates, I love you so much, and thank you for taking care of the puppies.
Dad, I hope that you are doing alright since grandpa died. I love you a lot.

 to answer my brothers questions;
Ster, the MTC food is amazing! every meal is tasty but it tastes a lot different than american food. ususally there is meat of some kind, (usually pollo) a side dish (usually beans or eggs of some kind) and a dessert. there is an Icecream fridge in the corner, and each missionayry gets one icecream bar per meal (i thought you would like that) and we get 3 cups of rice with almost every meal. I recieved some helpful advice on the rice, to not eat it all or else we get the nuncas (constipation) or worse the siempres (diereea). they have many different fruit jucices including mango and peach which is tasty. Also I am so jealous of the puppies, I wish I could see them! Ster, I love and miss you so much. remember to read and pray every day! it really helps. Also, be a good big brother, that takes patience.

soren:
of course everyone calls me elder goolsby, Im a missionary! No i havent made cookies yet, but im saving the chocolate chips for when I do. I am trying to speak spanish but it is very hard, and the latinos here speak faster than I can in english so its very hard to understand!  I think I have had some things stolen, because when I was looking for my speaker, I couldnt find it in any of my bags... well I guess I will just live without it. and why did the seagull go over the bay? to get to the other side of course... jajajajajaja Soren I love and miss you. I hope you are doing alright =)

Sage:
I am just fine now, I am always fed, I get a good bed to sleep in, and I have some friends here at the MTC. When I first came here it took some adjusting and some getting used to, and it was hard, but as time went on, and as I prayed for comfort, I began to feel happy again. I have learned so much its hard to know where to start. first off Ive learned lots of spanish! then there are the things of the gospel: I have started to read the Book of Mormon in Spanish, and so I am going slow, but I feel like I get more out of it, (probably because I have to read the same verse over and over again until it makes sense!) I think above anything else, I am learning to feel the spirit, and I feel him so strong all the time. I know that this gospel is true, all of it. and I know that reading the book of mormon is going tohelp you feel the spirit too! My camera isn´t working at the moment, and I havent had time to mess around with it to try and fix it so i cant right now but i will use my compainons pictures =) there are 6 elders in my room, so it is a lot of fun. Sage, always remember that I love you, and I miss you very much. If you feel lonely or feel sad, you can always pray to Heavenly Father and he will help you out.

I love you all very much and miss you a lot. You are all in my heart and in my prayers. Give Sasha love for me!

10/19/2017 Elder Goolsby meets first companion, Mission President

9/26/2017 Hey guys, I can´t believe that I´ve already been in the CCM for three weeks. I ahve two new investigators now, and I am learning lots of Spanish, (enough to hang with the Latinos with lots of "más lento por favor" and "repite por favor" ) Haha I already sent you my flag story, but among other things that have happened, my district has started singing called to serve in Spanish every time a teacher says "listos", every time we speak English and a teacher catches us we have to do pushups, so there were a ferw elders who ended up playing a game to see if they could get away with saying English words in class without having to do puchups. SO... when it was dead silent in class, I said "Pen" super loud... we couldn´t stop laughing when I got away with it. and aparently I laugh with my tounge out... lol I am being obedient, but having a little bit of fun aswell :)  As I think about it, it may not have been the best thing to do, but ...
9/6/2017 Hola! It was a long flight and I have a lot to talk about and little time to do it in. I am doing good, I got in this morning at 3 and unpacked went to sleep and woke up at 830. Its going to take some adjusting to Lima but I think I will be alright. I miss all of you guys very much. Lima is like North Las Vegas with less Mexicans and more Peruvians. The air is so moist but the weather is beautiful. My time is up. I will email you with more information later. Love, Seth Goolsby
